Paramount has released several items today including trailers, DVDs and digital downloads.
First up is the Regular and Extended Survival Edition DVDs and Blue-Ray Hi-Defs of Drillbit Taylor, starring Owen Wilson. According to the LA Times, Spider-Man 4 is a done deal, and is set for a May 2011 release date tentatively, said producer Laura Ziskin of the fourth installment in the franchise.

Paramount has purchased a New York Times article titled “Mystery on Fifth Avenue” for a feature film that will be directed by JJ Abrams (Cloverfield) says The Hollywood Reporter (THR). Abrams will produce the film through his Bad Robot shingle of Paramount.

Paulo Coelho, a best-selling Brazilian novelist, is teaming up with MySpace to make a film adaptation of one of his books that will be made almost entirely by MySpace users! The book in question is “The Witch of Portobello“.
Reluctant to allow his novels to be translated to film, Coelho feels this particular story is most appropriate for the medium, especially in the manner it will be made. In the book, 15 characters narrate the story throughout, each interacting and interpreting the main character, Athena.
