So, the list has been revealed to the general public. But was it meaningful to put Jessica Parker #1 on top of it? Especially, in the western civilization of ours, where people are so obsessed with their look. Just imagine how much embarrassed miss Parker must’ve felt when she discovered she was to top that list. Is this “top ten list” thing getting a little off road?

Well, anyone knows these lists are made for some sort of purpose. Green PR manager barely out of college can teach you a couple of things about the lists like Maxim’s Unsexiest People one. Even Google corporation adopted it, as one of the most sufficient secrets of it’s rating system for the web content. Already get the idea?

If not, think of who is going to benefit after this list gets published? Arnold Schwarzenegger? George Bush? You probably get the idea now: it’s all about bringing the general public’s attention to miss Parker and the “Maxim” magazine brand. Well, I mean, it’s obvious, because people are going to start talking about how unfair MAXIM is and how poor Jessica Parker must feel, she might even need a hug or something. Can you feel what’s going to be on your mind for a little while? And depending on how much attraction you feel towards any of these “items” (the magazine and celebrity) your increased interest is going to last. Some people are going to write about it in their blogs, some will post the comments like “Leave Jessica alone, I adore her!”, lots of Skype discussions, some Americans are even going to forget about the latest primaries results. Yes, sir, it’s a pure PR at its best.

And no matter where you live, no matter what you think about Maxim and miss Parker or celebrities’ ratings - you are going to get involved with this somehow. So, let’s declare the case closed and let miss Parker enjoy the wave of increased attention towards her life and career.
