(Download movie) The Grinch is a film that was based around the very famous Dr. Seuss story that we all know and love. While the original Dr. Seuss story was made into a cartoon that many people over the years have gather around their television sets to see each holiday season this fill was a live-action version of this same tale. The Grinch is an outcast creature of a small but loving town call Whoville which is the home of all the Who’s. The Grinch tries to steal the towns Christmas which is also the holiday that keeps the love and kindness flowing though all of Whoville. The Grinch carries the hurt from his childhood during which time he was belittled and rejected by all of Whoville because of his differences. The Grinch then meets little Cindy Lou Who, a sweet and wide eyed child who makes it her personal quest to show The Grinch the wonderful meaning of Christmas and all of Whoville that The Grinch really is a great creature.

The Grinch stars Jim Carrey as the Grinch. While many have loved Jim Carey in all of his movies this one is a bit hard to say whether is was a love it or hate it movie. Jim Carey dresses the part in a furry green outfit which is very similar to the cartoon version you see in the original making of the Dr. Seuss classic. While Jim Carey did a great job playing the role of The Grinch many feel that he was just a bit well…Jim Carey. Jim Carey was just a bit to over animated, goofy and odd for this part and while some movie goers might say they loved the movie for just that reason others will hate it for that reason alone.

So should you see the movie? I would, even if just once. This is a movie that anyone who was a wide eyed child sitting with your family in front of the television with the Christmas tree in the background and The Grinch cartoon playing should take the time out to see.
