What a mix of several love-stories! It’s not realistic but all the same, it’s a pleasure to see one more Christmas fairy-tale. Christmas and love are indivisible here. Not all the stories end happily, but that doesn’t change the optimistic tune of the movie.

How can 10-year-old boy feel once in New York without his mammy, daddy, brothers and sisters? Extremely happy, of course! Everything would be nice, if ‘wet bandits’ were not there. Nice for bandits, I mean. They suffer even more than in Part I, because the boy has grown up and grown smarter. A bright and funny family movie. If only kids were not trying to imitate Kevin’s tricks afterwards…

Curly Sue (1991)
Kind and funny comedy showing that even being hit by a car can turn out well. Little orphan Curly Sue (Alisan Porter) and beggar Bill Dancer (James Belushi) make you smile, giggle, laugh and finally even cry of emotions while you follow the plot of this movie. Everything ends fine, by the way.

A wonderful Christmas story! Little Kevin is left home by the entire family, and has to cope with two burglars who try to explore McCallisters’ house in search of probably a treasure. They chose the wrong house, though. Kevin tries on them all those dirty tricks he would have probably done to his brothers and sisters who treated him as… you know how it is in big families. “Never have laughed like that before” is the most usual comment after seeing this movie.

Christmas Vacation (1989)
The Christmas mood comes into your place directly from the screen. This is a really affecting comedy about crazy family and permanent jesting troubles happening with its every member.

The un-Christmas movie. It is definitely not about happy children unwrapping their gifts and happy moms and dads watching them do it. It’s about a psycho killing young girls who gathered to celebrate Christmas… their last one, as it turns out. A gloom and macabre, although stylish thriller. Fits one all right, if that one hates Christmas or loves horror on the screen.

It’s a Wonderful Life (1943)
When one is tire of life on a Christmas Eve, the best way to talk him out of suicide is to show what the life could have been without him. Then he realizes that his life is truly a beautiful one. This Christmas comedy, like wine, becomes only better with the time.
